FAQ
What is minting and burning tokens?
Minting creates new tokens and adds them to circulation, while burning permanently removes them, reducing the total supply. Minting is only possible with the mint authority wallet.
What metadata can I manage when I create a token?
After creating your token, you will be able to update your token symbol, name, description and image.
What is the treasury cap?
The treasury cap is a special object on the SUI network that holds the authority to mint and burn tokens for a specific token type. When you create a new token, a treasury cap object is generated along with it and transfered to your wallet.
Why revoke my token's treasury cap or metadata authority?
Revoking treasury cap or metadata prevents further token creation or account restrictions, ensuring the token supply remains fixed and decentralized. This helps build trust and prevents unwanted changes.
